“To play Dungeons and Dragons is not just entertainment; it is allowing your mind to expand into a creative way of thinking and cultivates a problem solving attitude. It brings people together but can also bring out the best in yourself. I love playing because it gives me a chance to connect and really explore different aspects of my personality.”

“Literally painting them (miniatures) so you can play with them.”

Figuratively Speaking Minis was created because Courtney wanted to share her love of painting miniatures. After sharing her painted minis at the table and on social media, she discovered the Dungeons & Dragons community and has never looked back.

Courtney wanted to share her love of painting so badly that she teaches painting classes in her local community. As she tells her students, “Let’s just slap some paint on some minis and learn a thing or two!”

Figuratively Speaking Minis is a business about giving back to the community through positive encouragement and inclusion of all people and budgets. Painting miniatures can be for every one; start small and build slowly and always remember to practice.
